Dr. Kita explains that pregnancy and MS can go together, and can actually benefit the patient. Pregnancy produces a unique immunological state that naturally helps to control strong autoimmune responses for obvious reasons. MS is controlled during pregnancy about as well as it is with any FDA approved disease modifying therapy.
