Sheila Scheiding
Sheila moved from Iowa to Washington in 2012, completing her B.S. in Biology at the University of Washington in 2015. While her undergrad experience primarily focused on microbiology, biochemistry, and plant pathology, she always wanted to be in a position where she could contribute to helping others. Sheila started at BRI as a member of the Clinical Core team in 2016, focusing on processing and management of human samples. In 2019, she made the jump to the Human Immunophenotyping Core. While skilled in high-parameter longitudinal human immunophenotyping, particularly utilizing flow and mass cytometry, she is adept at gaining and tailoring skills to meet all aspects of a project’s needs and particularly enjoys logistical planning and execution of large clinical trials. When not at BRI, she enjoys reading, gardening, and spending time with friends.
